Water delivery to your hotel or villa in Phuket

What to put in the address, when to order and how much to take.

Water delivery to your hotel or villa in Phuket

In short: for a villa or a condo, a map pin, a house number and a phone number are all the driver needs. It is best to order the day before check-in, allowing roughly 2 L per person per day plus extra for the pool and for days out. In hotels, reception will almost always take the delivery if you are not there.

An address the driver will actually find

Most villas in Phuket have no address in the usual sense, so a pin on the map matters more than any text. Add the name of the project or moo baan and the house number, which help the driver get his bearings even where the signal is poor. If the entrance has a barrier, tell us whose name the pass is in. And leave a number with WhatsApp or Telegram, because that gets the driver to you far faster than calling on a regular line.

  • A map pin beats text: most villas in Phuket have no clear street address
  • Add the name of the project or moo baan and the house number
  • If there is a barrier at the entrance, tell us whose name the pass is in
  • With a WhatsApp or Telegram number the driver will find you much faster

How much water to order for your stay

Plan on 2 L per person per day, and more if there is a pool, a beach and long walks in the picture. A group of six staying a week needs around 80 to 90 L, which is about five 18.9 L bottles or the equivalent in cases of 0.5 L bottles. It is easiest to order for the day you arrive so the water is already waiting in the house. For a longer stay of a week or more, a bottle with a pump makes more sense, with 0.45 L glass bought separately for dinners.

  • Order for your arrival day and the water will be waiting in the house
  • Guide figure: 2 L per person per day, more in the heat and with a pool
  • Groups do better with packs: still water in 0.5 L PET during the day, 0.45 L glass at dinner
  • For a longer stay of a week or more, an 18.9 L bottle with a pump is simpler

Hotels, condos and reception

Almost every hotel in Phuket accepts orders for guests: the driver leaves the water at reception and you get a call or a message. So the order does not go astray, put the booking surname and the room number in the comment. In condos, security usually wants to call the resident, so leave a number you actually answer. If you will not be there, confirm in advance where the water should go: to security, to a neighbour or to an agreed spot by the door.

Storing it once it arrives

The main enemy of water at a villa is the sun. Do not leave packs on the terrace or in the car: plastic heats up within minutes and the taste goes off long before the best-before date. Put part of the order straight in the fridge and the rest in the shade or a storeroom. At a villa with children, keep glass bottles in a cupboard rather than by the pool. Close an opened bottle tightly and put it in the cold, otherwise the fizz will be gone in a day.
